How about it guys. Can anybody recommend a ball pistol powder with a mid range burn rate and LOW muzzle flash? In the low light room exercises this weekend the Alliant PowerPistol loads I was using in my .40 Glock were a total disaster. I would prefer a stateside manufacturer, but will consider an import if you have personally experienced it with your loads when it's dark and scary. Thanks, and stay safe.

I like the Accurate Arms #5----not much muzzle flash from a full-size. At least in 40cal.

I don't CARE about pretty....I just want dangerous.

I'm almost ready to start experimenting with 1- to 2-percent calcium carbonate added to the Alliant Power Pistol.
W-W WAP showed such great promise...and worked far better for full-power .40 S&W loads that W-W 231 did.
Maybe I'll just build a flash hider. Let's see, detachable mag = evil feature, but less than 40 oz. = "good handgun." No barrel shroud = "good handgun," so can I attached a flash hider and not become a status offender?
