I've got black target sights, but my 'older eyes' are having a hard time picking out the center. What is the best target color combination to use for black target sights?

1. Hold black sights six o'clock on a black bullseye.
2. The staff at Rifle and Handloader magazines concluded that a royal blue target was the most visible under the most different conditions of light and sights, and Wolfe Publishing sells them.

I find white targets to be easiest to see when practicing. Gives you one hell of a contrast between your sights and your target.

Cardboard IPSC or ISPA targets provide pretty good contrast on black sights under most lighting conditions.
The US Treasury TRANSTAR targets come in various shades of blue and green for contrast. www.letargets.com.

Try painting the top 1/3 of your front sight white.
