I like the Shooting Chrony. I'm not a statistician, just looking for some simple numbers.

If all you want is the speed of your bullets, the Shooting Chrony is cheap and does what you want. I like it and recommend it. :)

I've got the Competition Electronics Pro Digital, and it has worked great.
Paid $100 at Gander Mountain. Tells bullet velocity, high, low, extreme spread and average. It's all I need.

It is about $20 more than you are listing, but the CED Millenium Chronograph has the distinction that in German defense doppler radar tests, it and the no-longer-available Oehler 35 were the only two units that consistently matched the radar. I know a lot of people like the Chronys and their spec on their web site claims high accuracy, but I have had my dad's side-by-side with the Oehler 35 I co-own, and it typically reads about 200 fps faster clocking .308s in the 2500 fps range. The Oehler is much closer to load table results and has a second chronometer with its check screen feature that matches the total reading well.

The CED has a 200 shot memory and computer download and IR printer ports and all that jazz you may or may not use, but the accuracy is what I would want.

I picked up the Shooting Chrony Master Gamma with the printer from Midsouth.
For $162.00 I got the unit and the printer and more than likley will suit my present needs as well as future.I have yet to use it as it was just delivered today.I'll see how well or not it works at the range tomorrow and let you know the results.

I just bought my first chronograph about a month ago. I got the Chrony Beta Master. The Chrony Masters come with a 16' cord and remote control/display.....very handy. Records 6 strings of 10, and gives high, low, average, extreme spread, and standard deviation of each string. I picked mine up on e-Bay NIB for $95 shipped.

I got a PACT Model 1 about 5 years ago from Midway. It came with the frame to mount the skyscreens to and a case for the chrono for about $80. It's worked well in that time and the battery lasts a good while.
