Just wondering what other departments are doing as far as a qualification course for SIM triaining- We will be using the Drag Stabilized Bean Bag round from Defense Technology, any input or course of fire would be greatly appreciated.

I'm a little confused, maybe it's just a terminology issue ...

SIM = to us, SIM means simulation / scenario based training, done in my agency with the FX marking cartridges from Simunitions.

The drag stabilized bean bag isn't a simulation / scenario training round. Our qualification for the Less Lethal bean bag rds involved policy review, target locations and then a couse of fire at 15 yds. Sadly, patrol no longer has access to these.

Sorry for the confusion, I am new to the whole Less Lethal area. I called it Sim for Specialty Impact Munitions which was the course I just took from Armor Training Academy. Just looking for courses of fire with the drag stabilzed round for qualification purposes. :)
