What does this mean? I don't get it everytime I try to reply to a thread, just for certain threads. Is there anything I can do on my end to get around this error?

I'm not the tech guru here, but it may be that you're trying to reply to an older, locked thread.
What is the name of the thread you're trying to reply to, and in what forum?

That should only happen when the thread in question has been deleted or merged into another thread.

Yeesh. Sounds vaguely like your browser or some intermediate webcache has incorrectly cached a reply page for a non-existent thread. Can you PM me the full URL of the page on which you see that error?
When you get that error page, try Ctrl-R. If that doesn't work, try F5. I think F5 works in IE, but I'm not sure. I know it works in Firefox.
Other than that, try switching browsers (Firefox (http://www.mozilla.org/firefox) or Opera (http://www.opera.com/)) and see if that helps. IE does all sorts of braindead things, and I've gotten sick of debugging problems with it. The settings are buried, and don't do what they claim to.

I figured it out, it was a Firewall Issue. Zone Alarm Pro was blocking certain characters that I typed.
