Thinking about a Taurus model 94 for target shooting. Will the 22 mag accept 22 LR ammunition, and does anyone have any feedback on this gun. I'm primarily interested in people who have recently purchased NEW in the last year or so. I have heard many horror stories about the old ones, but a lot of these have been passed around so much, who knows where they've been or what people have done with them. Any input is helpful. Thanks!

To answer the first part of your question, it is never a good idea to shoot .22LR out of a .22 mag chamber - they are different size cases and they will bulge and/or rupture.

My 941, in .22 lr, purchased new about 1.5 yrs back, has been nothing but flawless. 9 shots, accurate, solid. Yeah, do not shoot .22lr out of 22 mag. Get a .22lr (or a combo gun with 2 cylinders). The .22lr will be cheaper to shoot, and the .22mag out of a revolver is very loud - far louder than most people expect or realize.
