Quick grip question

Hey all, I have a quick grip question. Can I change out the Hogue Monogrip on my 586 with wooden ones that use a screw in the centre of the grip instead of the bottom?

I just saw a cool lanyard in my latest gun mag.

Yes you can. You will have to remove this little metal piece that the bottom screw threads into, but it is not a big deal at all.

As mentioned, that little swiveling piece at the bottom must be popped off the grip alignment stud as it's part of the Hogue grip not the gun. Make sure you get the scew with the new ( side screw) grips too. Look for K &L frame grips with the same butt profile.
