The cloth says that it will remove bluing. Anyone try it on nickle finishes? I'm thinking of using it on a factory nickle SW34-1.

Have you considered using Flitz metal polish on your nickel gun?

OK to use on nickel, p l i n k e r. Adds luster (gleam) to nickel. Can't harm stainless obviously. Don't use it on blued or case hardened surfaces.

A note of caution. According to Brownells, anything used on *satin* nickel, even Flitz, may change the appearance of the finish. Bright nickel is, of course, less of a problem. But satin nickel is sometimes found, say, on the topstrap of an otherwise bright nickel gun. Best to stay clear of such areas. HTH.

To reinforce what jimmy said, Flitz can leave a "sheen" or shiney spots on satin nickle. I learned that lesson while using Flitz to clean carbon off a satin nickle finished slide.

I have used one on my nickel s&w mod 13. Cleans the crud right off the front of the cylinder and around the forcing cone and top strap. If in doubt try a spot that doesn't show.
regards :D
