This is a post from another forum & personally I think all his problems stem from shooting his handloads that are under the minimum load, but he does not think that's the cause.

He also shoots these reloads in a Glock & has problems with it cycling and something going wrong with the firing pin.

What does the pros from Dover think:D :D

I got a Hornady Lock N Load progressive reloading press (very cool) for Christmas and have started loading up some .45s for my Kimber and Glock. In the past I loaded 6.6 grains of Accurate No. 5 behind a 230 grain lead RN (min charge is 7.7 grains so they are wimpy plinkers) but I want to switch to the slower burning Accurate No. 7 so I loaded up 10 or so of 9.7, 10.0, 10.2, 10.4, and 10.6 grain loads. The minimum is supposedly 9.9 grains and max is 11 so I figured that would give a good sample of the low end.

Anyway, I take them out and shoot them today and they are feel fine (obviously a bit more recoil than the 6.6 grain loads) but after trying some of the 10.6 grain in the Kimber it broke the bottom of the barrel bushing off and the spring went out the front. Also, the recoild pad was hammered. I have a heavier spring from Brownell's in the gun so it really bothers me it can't even handle low to medium powered rounds. What if I put +p Cor-Bons in it? Anyway, any ideas what went wrong or do I just need to yell at Kimber? (I am going to send them an e-mail and ask them to send me a new bushing and spring cup anyway.) By the way it is a Kimber Stainless Target LE.
