Hello Friends:
I have your basic 8-gun Homak cabinet (http://www.homakmfg.com/3660.asp). However, I own mostly handguns and only one long gun. I haven't yet been able to find a decent system of shelving to arrange the inside of this cabinet. Anyone have the same problem? Any suggestions?

I made my own shelving ,that way you can get anything you need.

Check out some of these links:
Yahoo search using: safe "pistol rack" (http://search.yahoo.com/search?p=%22pistol+rack%22+safe&ei=UTF-8&fr=FP-tab-web-t&fl=0&x=wrt)
There's gotta' be a way you can attach one or more pistol racks to the inside of that thing, think?

I too went the homemade route by simply using 1/2 inch birch plywood. I liked the idea of being able to adjust the height between shelves to suit my own needs (i.e. more space for the camera or binocular shelf, less space for the knife or watch shelf). Once I had all the shelves cut, I then sprayed them all with several coats of that plasticote spray paint stuff and it gave a nice finished look and a non-slip texture.
