I have shot over 100 rnds of .357 in my new sp101 and no .38 special.
all were 125 gr. how does the 158 gr. feel if the 125 gr. is comfortable?

Well, I didn't think it was as bad as the 180-grainers . . . :)

Shouldn't be too awful bad for you if the 125's were comfortable to shoot. The 180's though...they aren't bad but they are stout out of my 6 inch GP 100 with full underlug.

Not bad. They tend to "hop" more than I like out my SP101 but they aren't punishing.

There's enough diffrence in recoil between the 125's and the 158's that you can tell. Not a big difference just a little more muzzle jump. I put a pair of Hogue grips on mine and turned it from a good shooter into a great shooter.

Shot over 100 rds of .357 158gr swc through my 3” SP on fathers day. Thought my hand would be a little sore but it wasn’t. You shouldn’t have a prob with the 158gr’s.

I shoot mostly 158-gr through my SP. I'd say they kick about the same, with a little more muzzle rise than the hot Remington 125-gr SJHP. Not much difference in my opinion.

I can't comment on the feel of the rounds in the Ruger, but I put thousands of rounds through a 3" S&W M65. No problem at all with them. They were all 158gr SWC cast bullet reloads, not max, but very close to it. Extremely accurate, too.
