Finish on Winchester Defender

What is the low-glare finish on Winchester Defenders? Doesn't quite look like blueing or Parkerizing.

I think that the barrel finish on the Lady Defender I have is blue. It is very well done and well penetrates the satin low glare finish on the tube.

I also think the finish on the receiver is some type of baked on paint. It doesn't act like anodizing and can't be conventional blue on the aluminum receiver. I find that a black permanent marker felt tip pen works fairly well to cover up minor receiver paint dings.
