Anyone know of any IDPA or IPSC Clubs in the Md area? I know about the group at the NRA range in Fairfax, but is there anything on the Md side of the river? I'm trying to avoid having to join a club whose membership fees are going to wipe out my ammo funds.

Go to www.uspsa.org and use the "Find Clubs" function; there are three USPSA clubs in Md.
Can also take the enjoyable drive to York, Pa.
Don't know IDPA, but I'm sure their site offers a similar function.

Look at www.sanners-lake.com
I drive down from the BWI area as often as possible for their matches. Nice facility, good matches, and friendly folks.

View the Clubs link on the USPSA Area8 (http://www.uspsa-area8.org/) website for a complete list of MD USPSA clubs.
Also, view the Maryland Practical Shooters (http://www.mpsa.net/) website. They shoot at Thermont MD and I understand are putting on good matches.

Hi Messed up Mike,
There is an IDPA match Tuesday afternoon, 9/17 at 3pm at the Thurmont Conservancy and Sportsman Club in Thurmont, Md. That's about 10 minutes north of Frederick and 40 minutes north of Gaithersburg. IDPA fires there while the main club hosts many other matches and activities. The website includes a map: http://www.tcandsc.org/tcscIDPAMatches.htm
Henry Heymering runs the matches: email@example.com
I will be there Tuesday. If you need more info email me.

Anne Arundle Fish and Game has IDPA matches and qualifiers. Search the IDPA site for the link. Paul Bowling manages the program. Everyone that shoots there is very friendly and relaxed. No stress or hot shots here.
The range is located off of Route 50, not too far from the Bay Bridge.
