When you hear the word machinegun, what is the first thing that comes to mind ?
For me, it is a WWII GI armed with a Thompson.

"Machinegun" brings an MG-42 to mind, but "submachinegun" will always be a 1928A1 Thompson for me.:)

Machinegun, either a Browning .30 or an M2.

If you say subgun the Thompson probably comes to mind first.

Machinegun = M60 in my mind.

Subgun = MP5 family. One of these days, I will own one.

M2 .50 first to mind.

But have only ground worked with 1919 and M60.
