I need some advice on how to best modify a Bell & Carlson fiberglass stock. I order a Duramaxx stock for my Savage. The stock is designed for a blind magazine, but my rifle has a detachable magazine. I will need to open up the bottom of the stock for the magazine and the the side of the stock for the mag release buttom. This would be pretty straight forward on a wood stock but I'm not sure what type of tools would work best on fiberglass. B&C says that you can use wood working tools to open up the barrel channel, so I guess that these tools would work for what I need. After I remove the material what kind of finish/paint will I need to pretty it back up? Any help will be greatly appreciated.
