View Full Version : New thumbhole stock shell holding butt stock from Choat.

In this months G&A (I admit it, I read it at the grocery store while my wife shops) there where pics of a new synthetic thumbhole stock on an 870. It was Dragunov style with a large, comfortable looking grip. The bottom rung had holes for holding five shells, kind of like a buttcuff only a lot more efficient. Looked pretty cool, just thought I would pass this on in case somebody is looking for something like this.

I'm hoping they make one for Mossbergs, as well. (Though I have just recently purchased an 870. Hmmm...) If they do, I plan on installing one on my GR, parkerized 500. The "body armour" version, to fit my starved-Asian sized body. ;) With a suitable stock, I'm thinking I might add a tritium front sight, perhaps a SureFire, and then have the hot set-up.

I used it on an 870 that a fellow TFLer has and it works very well. Good recoil pad, comfy grip.
