I was hoping some forum members could give me some information on how to mount a sling on a shotgun. My Benelli Nova has the "standard" sling mounts- the ones that look like little nubs with a hole going through it. What hardware do I need to get in order to install a sling? I'm looking for a basic sling, a la USGI sling for the AR. Can I use a GI sling on the shotgun, provided I get the right hardware? They're cheap and durable and easy to obtain at the next gun show.

Thanks.

You need a set of sling swivels, any gun shop has them for a nominal fee. The Quick Detachable (QD) ones are faster to take on/off, but the older style works also.

...and the GI sling will work just fine, as long asd the swivels you get are wide enough for the sling (I think 1.25").

Tell us how you like the Nova - I haven't gotten any feedback on it yet.

I just got my Nova last week. The gun shoots very well. Excellent feed and easy to clean. This gun is the best quality for the value. I highly suggest getting one, I'm very pleased.
