View Full Version : List of Full Autos shot--Non SMGs
June 4, 2002, 03:17 PM
Member ACP230 (nice screen name, BTW) started a topic about list of subguns shot. It brought back some pleasant memories, but I had to stop and classify some of 'em in my mind. The line does get a leeetle blurred sometimes. Yeah, I know, SMGs use pistol caliber cartridges, machine guns rifle caliber, "Assault Rifles" an intermediate. But, hey- - - -
Anyway, this thread deals with ANY full auto other than the SMGs--
My minor list--
FN FAL SAW
US Carbine cal .30 M2
And, for the record, none of the above were as part of military service . . . .

Ok, Ok, I know it's what almost every soldier fires but hey you asked ;) :)

SKS with folding stock. It made for a memorable Easter weekend.

I was thinking of posting this too. Here's my list.
Colt 1917 (Water cooled)
The M2, the M16, and the FND were
fired at the old Second Chance Bowling Pin Shoot. The 1917, the AR19 and the M14 at Gun Fair at Princeton, MN a couple of years ago. I wish I'd shot a lot more stuff at both of them.

Shot a bunch of stuff from everywhere, but I am green with envy at ACP230's shooting a FND. [panting noises] Was it 8mm??? Tell us more, tell us more!

My list (minus subguns) is:
and a couple of others I can't remember right now.

The FND was a .30-06, if I remember right. It might have been a .308, but I don't think so. I handed over some cash and fired one 20 round magazine. It was over too soon and I was too close to going broke after hitting the commercial row at the Second Chance Bowling Pin Shoot to do it again.

Y'know, now that you mention it, every full-auto I've shot has been a pistol cal SMG, I think. (I'm including the full-auto suppressed 10/22 in this class)
I had a chance to shoot an StG43 once, but begged off, as I sure didn't want to take the chance of Someone Else's Valuable Antique breaking while I was shooting it. I just opted to watch, instead.

Where'd you fire the GE?
(Anybody ever tell you that you look just like Keanu Reeves? )
June 9, 2002, 03:05 PM
Jason280 I envy you.:(
Just where are you people getting the opportunity to shoot G36's?
June 9, 2002, 03:51 PM
There must be some around somewhere.
June 9, 2002, 06:38 PM
metal gear 2010
June 9, 2002, 07:30 PM
Why, I fired it from a helicopter of course. I could drop by your place some time and you could shoot as many of my loads as you want. ;)
June 9, 2002, 09:46 PM
That's it, but it was last weekend so I'm still pretty geeked about it. :)

Sodapop, I fired the G-36 at a H&K demo that they put on up here last year; it was nice, but I think the M4 Carbine is better overall, and it feels a little more "solid" when you fire it.

I shot all of my HK sh*t in the ITD. I still think they have to be the best training joint around. Too bad they're a bunch of Fu*#in liberals. No civilians!! I can't believe I can go there and learn to shoot combat style, but my Dad and Bother can't. That angers me to no end, that' s why I'll be at ThunderRanch from now on. Even if I have to bring my own guns. Damn Eurotrash gun companies. They think LE is keeping them in business? Even I know better than that.

"Just where are you people getting the opportunity to shoot G36's?"
The G-36 was a post-86 dealer sample that a Class 3 dealer brought to our range.
IMO, it wasn't all that great. The one the dealer brought in had some sort of integral scope + an integral red dot sight on it. I don't know if that's standard equipment or not, but I wasn't too impressed.
"You guys' lists are insane."
Well, when you work here, the list can get pretty big:
Everybody here is welcome to enjoy our hospitality--just bring $$$

Thompson w/Cutts compensator (my favorite):D
M16 9mm w/Commando barrel
Edited: Whoops wrong topic, supposed to be in the SMG thread. My bad.:)
