In your post on the closed thread about apartment ammo you noted a difference between the different lots of Federal Tactical, specifically those marked LE132 and H132. What are the differences and which do you recommend? I recently came across a store selling the LE132 for a very attractive price and bought ten boxes in 00 Buck and five boxes of 000. Is one better than the other and, if so, how?
While on the same topic do you have any preference in this round between 00 and 000. I usually carry a couple rounds the Tactical ammo with me while upland hunting in the event I need something with a little more authority than #7-1/2.

And Erick, if it's not too much trouble, can you tell us much about your recent Gunsite training?
Thanks...

The difference in the loads came up as a result of experiences by two police officers from SoCal in the class. They were using new, dept. issued Benelli M1 Entry models that seemed to be single-shot weapons, given the amount of malfunction clearing they were doing.
One gun ran just fine with #8 shot but was malfunctioning with what was labeled on the box as H132. The other gun seemed to have the same problems, though not as frequently. Eventually, the loads were checked and the difference in markings noted. The officers said that two days before the class, they'd put 50 rds of the LE-132, marked 'Tactical' through their guns.
If the gun likes it, which my shotguns do, then my preference is the Fed 12ga 00B load with 'Tactical' printed on the hull, whether it says H or LE 132 on the box. I'll stay away from the 'reduced' load.
The trip was two weeks in length. The second week was devoted to taking SureFire's Low Light Instructor Course; while the first week was spent in the apprentice program.

Sorry to confuse the issue further, but I've seen some pretty logical arguments in favor of #1 Buck as well. Logic was more pellets, with similar caliber, as I recall.
