This one's actually serious...serious firepower, that is. With a twenty-round magazine of .58 caliber ammo and a rate of fire of over 300 rounds per minute if cranked fast enough, a functional replica Gatling is a damned scary weapon.

A little bit too heavy and bulky for a carry weapon, though.

Not quite home defence, but close. This is about Henry Jarvis Raymond, the first editor of the New York Times, and how he defended his "home" in 1863.

For protection during the Draft Riots in New York City, he installed Gatling guns on the roof of the Times building.
