Anyone ever heard of/ used a Westernfield?
I saw a 20 ga for a very reasonable price, but any price is too high for junk.
Thanks,
Carl

Probably it's either a Mossberg or Marlin, is inexpensive, reliable, and quite unfashionable.
These make into good slug guns with a bit of work.
Post this down on Harley's Forum, you should get plenty of info.

I have a Western Field pump. It's actullay Montgomery Ward's brand name but mine is made by Mossberg. Not sure about bolt guns though. 20 ga. bolt is pretty obscure, I used one for pheasant hunting once and it was quite impractical. For deer hunting you probably rather use a 12 ga.

Western Field guns were made by...
Mossberg
Kessler
Savage
Stevens
Noble
Colt
Mauser
Fox
Marlin
?
If you can come up with a model number, one of us can probably nail down the manufacturer of that gun.
I don't think a bolt 20 is going to impress anybody tho, regardless of brand.
