22TCM/9 combo or M&P 9 Shield ???

I've been waiting FOREVER to get my hands on both of these.
MY LGS has my Shield paid in full waiting for me, they just called and let me know they also have my TCM which I put a decent down payment on.

Both of these pistols have various bells and whistles already bought and sitting in my stash.

The problem: I have to wait a week between accepting possession of them or the LGS will file a form with the BATF letting them know all my info. I'm sorry, no thanks. The only time I want the local or federal authorities to know my business is if I were to inform them due to theft.

So back to my original question, which one do I pick up first?

Well...

What would I do? I'd pick them both up and the ATF can have my info. It's not like they don't have it anyway.

Otherwise, flip a coin and wait a week for the other. I mean, it's a week. That decision wouldn't be a blip on the radar.

I flipped a coin and then changed my mind
I'm worried I'll be disappointed if I get the Shield first since I am a big 1911 fan.
Which ever way I go I will definitely wait the stupid week. I'd rather have my form 4473's in a dusty box for the next decade or two rather then the alternative.
I understand the purpose of the reporting multiple purchases but seriously this is putting a damper on my week!

The county sheriff also gets a copy of the ATF multiple handgun form.

If you're going to CC, the Shield.

P.S., if you'd picked either up yesterday, you'd be one day closer to the other today.

I totally should have picked it up, but I just got home after a 1.5 hr commute.
Not allowed to carry yet in IL but it's on the way

Pick up the TCM first and report back to us all while you wait to get the Shield. Then, report back to us again after picking up and shooting the Shield.

Haha,
Can do, waiting for traffic to clear up and I'll be heading out to the LGS. Expect a report back before morning.

True, I was considering going to bed at the time.

On request I have brought home the TCM first.
Will make a new thread and link back to it once I get some pics.
Update, link to TCM review HERE
