I've actually become a fan of the Remora for the past couple of months. I would definitely get one with a sweat shield, however. I don't know what theirs is like, I don't have it on any of mine, but will get it on any future ones for sure.

This one! http://theisholsters.com/holsters.php
Can't say enough good about the Theis IWB hybrid holsters. I have one for my XD40 Sub Compact, and one for my KAHR CM9. Very comfortable, adjustable, well made, and custom fit to each firearm. Price is less than the "top name" in IWB hybrids, quality excellent, and delivery time is in days, not weeks!

Raven Concealment - Phantom
It can be used for IWB or OWB with the addition of the soft loops. It's a great holster. |

IWB rigs....
A few gunners like IWB holsters.
I'm not fond of it, but can see the merits. Great holsters & brands include: Ted Blocker, Don Hume, Galco, Alessi, Wright Leather Works, Blade tech, Bianchi, Milt Sparks, CrossBreed, High Noon Holsters. Some like Kydex or polymer. New lightweight holsters are now on the market too: Blackhawk.com Michaels of OR. For leather rigs, the Wright Leather Works line is impressive. They offer custom holsters too. |

order this holster with a "k" at the end for kydex. so your part number is 1ak.
http://www.fist-inc.com/holsters/holster/1A.htm super thin - less printing, more comfortable. retains shape when empty even under belt pressure - helps reholstering. i like to carry at 3:00 position right on my hip. here it is with a walther pps - same dimensions.

I use one by Winthrop Holsters. Scroll down until you see the one for the XD and then imagine it even smaller.
IWB for XDs It is a good value for the price and seats the pistol as low as you can get, which minimizes printing onto the outside of the untucked shirt. My only complaint is they didn't use the more expensive Lift-the-Dot snaps and hence it may take several tries to get the snaps fastened so they stay snapped. Bart Noir

holsters...
I prefer the standard strong hand side holster with added features like a metal band for one handed reholstering, a side shield to protect the sights & maybe the hammer, sight track, unlined, with a slight FBI type cant.
The Wright Leather Works Predator is a great example. Greg Kramer of Kramer Gun Leather, Milt Sparks, Mitch Rosen, Blade tech, COM Holsters, Safariland ALS or SFS, SERPA/Blackhawk. Cross draws & shoulder rigs are great too for limited applications. The Aker Comfort Flex, the Galco Miami Classic II, Kirkpatrick Leather, Alessi all are top shoulder holsters. Some like exotic leathers like bull, rhino, shark, horsehide, alligator etc. Custom rigs may take time or cost a lot more. CF |
