I'm wondering if anyone knows the effect Ed's Red (kerosene/acetone/mineral spirits/ATF) has on blueing?
Thx, wolfz

This question seems to be going around the different forums.

Everything in Ed's Red you may have used on your gun before.

Hoppe's: Kerosene
Gun Scrubber: Acetone
Hoppe's Semi Auto: Mineral Spirits
ATF is used by many of the old timers as a replacement for Whale Oil.

In years of use, it has not harmed the blueing or any other part of any of my guns.

Nope will not hurt blueing, parkerizing or any of the moly finishes. Use the stuff all the time and love it.
