I want to replace the recoil spring of my USP45 with a high power one. Does anyone know the proper way and required tools to remove the retaining clip on the captured assembly. The clip is very small and difficult to get hold of with any needle nose pliers.

Thanks

Mikie, compress the spring and then the clip should come off relatively easily. Think of pushing instead of pulling. You may need more than 2 hands to do this. I usually hold the rod in a padded vise. George
