Sportsmans Guide bore sighter offset

There is a bore sighter offset advertised in the latest SG. It says that it is made to be used for scopes mounted high, as on AR15's and AK's BUT the fine print says that the offset will NOT work with a .22 cal arbor. ????????????? Has anyone tried these on an AR15(.223)?

I've got one of these and if I remember corectly, it won't screw down small enough to grasp the .22 arbor. Don't have it in front of me to doublecheck that though.
