I live overseas most of the year and am a little out of touch. So, what is Cowboy Action Shooting all about?

A combination of old west costuming and competition shooting of guns of the old west. Shooting "cowboy" guns, guns of a pre 1899 design such as Colt 1873 Peacemaker, Winchester 1892 or 1894 lever action rifles, Sxs Shotguns or 1897 Winchester pumps shotguns. Usually cnsisting or five or more stages of shooting. Most cowboys have two revolvers, one lever action rifle and one shotgun. Sorta an 1870s three gun match, but with western cowboy costuming. It is a very fast growing sport and lots of fun.
