Today at the range I noticed that the front sight on my TRP is loose in it's dovetail. I can move it with my finger back and forth about 1/8 inch.:(
Anyone out there know how I can fix this or will I need to get a new front sight.

In the old days, we'd take a punch and stipple the surface of the dovetail. Some on left side, some on right and some right in the center. When you reinsert the front sight blade, it should hold.

My FLG would give it a dose of Green Loctite. Better be sure you have it back where you want it before that stuff cures, though.

Stipple oughtta work just fine.......and you will be able to drift it to zero if necessary.

Thanks guys for the advice. I will try them out and if all else fails will upgrade to Hienie slant pro's. I have used handguns since I was 12. I have had to restake frontsights on 1911's but this the first time I have had this problem with dovetailed sights.

Thanks again.
