Balls have been hard for me to get lately so I've to order up some Lee moulds and a Lee Production 20lb bottom pour furnace....but can't find ANYBODY that has a 454, 490, and 20lb furnace in stock...anybody know where I can pick these up?

edit: natchezss has the 490 mould...Midsouth has the 454 and 4-20. Now to get it all ordered up on Monday!

Makin' em yourself is the most reliable way to go. But if anybody else is having trouble finding balls or minies and don't wanna start casting, try Jeff. He's much cheaper than your LGS too! I bought from him for a couple of years until I started casting recently.

Try Titan Reloading.

He keeps stuff in stock. Shipping is reasonable. Prices are good.

I'm surprised at castboolits round balls being as hard as they are.

If worse comes to worse, you can drag out the coleman camp stove and an old steel (not aluminum) pot and a dipper.

That's how I started and it works. Not as fast as using a nice furnace pot but I managed to make bullets just fine.

I started with an old aluminum pot that began to bulge badly on the bottom. I traded it out for a steel pot and went on with life.

I now have a 20lb Lee furnace that does me just fine.

Good luck.

I started with a SAECO pot in my bedroom. I don't recommend in-house casting anymore.
