I will be picking up my brand new in the box Colt match target competition 6700 in the morning. I put it on lay away a month ago before all the prices went crazy. I got it for 1200.00 + tax.

Very lucky I found it and put it on lay away when I did.
Does anyone here have a 6700 match target competition that coulod tell me anything about it as far as accuracy, are the upper/lower pins standard size and is the trigger group pins standard size ?

I believe Colt switched back to small pin receivers in 2009. All recent 6900 series I've seen are that way and it doesn't make much sense to stay with large pins on the 6700.

Again, a great rifle and a timely purchase!

Yeah lucky you! Now, I hope you have ammo for it.

I think this 6700 was built in 1998 and is still brand new in the box. I don't know why it wasn't sold before this. ? The gun shop got 2 of them in. The serial # is CCH 04117*, does anyone have an idea when it was built ?

I have about 1500 cases, 3000 primers, 12 lbs of H335 powder and about 2000 bullets all ready to reload since I already had a S&W Sport that I bought last March. The sport was on sale for 669.00 when I bought it and now is 1600 and more.

I realize you bought it to keep but you could probably list it on gunbroker and get $2400...

In all seriousness---congrats on the great rifle.

Bought my M&P15 Sport and 1000 rounds of .223 the week before CT shootings. Glad I bought when I did!
