I would like to build a 7.62x39 in a AR-15 form but my question is what ammo should I use when shooting should I use Wolf or any other from the USSR States or should I use USA made ammo.
Also if shooting Wolf in a USA made AR-15 7.62X39 will this ammo cause problems with a USA made rifle. Winchester Remington and other USA companies make the 7.62x39 round but the prices are a little bit to much at $22.00 for 20 rounds compared to $4.99 to $5.75 for 20 rounds.
I love the 7.62x39 round and what it can do but I want a rifle that shoots like the AR-15 because I believe the we just make a better shooting rifle I don't want a rifle that I have spray and pray if my live depends on it.
Plus I can stock up on about 10,000 rounds really cheap.
Any assistance would be helpful. Then main question is will the round mess up the bolt assembly at $129.00 a bolt assembly I can only afford a couple of them.

Everytime I hear about a 7.62x39 AR-15, I hear about reliability issues and i dont even own an AR. I think a better caliber would be Remington's new .30 Remington AR. That is considerably more powerful than the 7.62 and is more of a battle rifle. On the somewhat lower end of the spectrum is the .300 AAC Blackout. I guess the concept behind this round was to have ab AK-like round that would function well in the AR platform. Hope that helped.

i work with one who owns a 7.62 ar dont know where he got his kit from but hes happy with it. I would advise the political climate is hot right now and people are having to wait unusually long times for their ars to ship, particularly for the barrels. DSG told me this week that the standard waiting period on barrels right now is 12-15 weeks.

Have you checked out the Rock River Arms LAR-47?

They just might be the hot setup.... to run the 7.62x39 and use AK magazines.

There is probably a way to build one for less money, but it might be an uphill battle in trying to get it to run right ????

If your sold on going 7.62x39, there are many people that like AR Precision

He makes a "super" bolt that supposedly does very well extracting and shooting commie ammo
