An aquaintance has a NIB M1A Standard and as it came from the factory.
He ordered it, paid for it and a couple weeks later lost his job.
So now he's looking for $1200.
Deal or no?
If it were a friend, I'd buy it and sell it back to him once he got on his feet.
But I'm thinking about flipping it.

Seems like a good deal. Thats how I got my M1 Garand, guy was having money trouble and had to sell it. I stole it...

What does a new M1A std. cost in your LGS these days?... 'cause you'll have to undercut that by at least a few hundred bucks to attract a buyer.
Just sayin'

1200 is a fair price.
The can be bought new for around 1250$ and over the net at the moment no sales tax.

if $1250 new than $1200 used is no deal.
Only person who will pay more is someone avoiding NIC.

Is the warranty transferable?
If not, no way would I pay within $50 of cost new.
In any case, at that price there's no money to "flip"...

That's pretty harsh, the OP said it's NIB.
