Ruger Mini-14 sight pin removal

Is the front sight pin tapered?

Need to install a muzzle brake.:D

Just a straight roll pin. Use a flat 1/8" punch and tap gently. The sight does have a Loc-Tite substance on it so a little heat and tapping with a wood block will be necessary. It can be a job but they will come off.
