I was wondering what slight tweeks I could do to my mosin to improve accuracy etc.

Google it, there's a cheap "trigger job" than can be accomplished with cardboard or paper shims in the trigger assy. It changes the geometry of the sear and improves trigger pull. If you plan on shooting "stock" CBA that's about as far as you go. Everything else (and there's a lot you could do) takes the rifle out of the stock category and into a modified class. You could also float the barrel without a great deal of work.

Actually I found tons of useful and cheap fixes for the Mosin on YouTube.

Here's what I did to mine:
I placed mine in a Boyd's stock, bedded the receiver, installed pillars, and free-floated the barrel.
Added a Timney trigger, scope mount and glass.
I just cut the barrel to 22" and gave it an 11 degree target crown but haven't yet gotten her to the range to try it out.

2-1/2" groups at 200M with handloads.

Handloading is probably the best way to improve accuracy over the milsurp ammo.
