I'm having a senior moment here gentlemen,,,
What is the white material they are using to make revolver grips?

I'm not sure exactly what you are referring to.
But white paper phenolic is often called 'faux ivory' and is used for pistol grips and knife handles. I make pens and turned a high end one of this material. It looked like real ivory. I sold it in an art gallery as 'alternative ivory' for almost $300.00. It was beautiful, if I say so myself. ;)
Be aware, it is very-very hard and difficult to work.
The biggest seller of this stuff is Jantz knife supply.

I think my Beretta 87 would look real fine with white Corian grips.
