Any varmint zappers here use the Russian round? I know a fair number of people use the .223/5.56 so it has me wondering how it compares. With the end of deer season coming up and my hunting license still good for the rest of the year I'm getting the urge to go out and do my part in quality population management as my area is overrun with them and my hunting buddy has kids that want to get into the field more this year. My .243 is 800 miles away and I don't feel the urge to pay shipping and FFL fees, and my next smallest other gun on hand is .30-30. So, does the 7N6 round say dasvidanya to the chicken house raiders?

The 5.45 is a fun little cartridge that'll do that job nicely as long as you hit the coyote right.

Right on par with the .223, which is almost too much if a person wants to save the furs.

Good luck!
