Pachmayr Grip adapter

I aquired an old Pachmayr grip adapter the other day. It's one of the old black rubber kind that fits like the Tyler T-Grips. It has the size 8M stamped on it. Does anyone know what gun that size fits?

The very friendly lady at their office helped me identify the grips,,,
As well as what handgun they would fit,,,
She even sent me the screw,,,
