Ohio Coyote hunters in here.

I've searched Ohio's hunting regulations booklet front to back looking on information about Coyote hunting here in Ohio. I'm specifically interested if an AR type weapon can be used for hunting Coyotes?

AR-10 chambered in .223 Remington?

AR-15 chambered in .308 Winchester?

I wouldn't imagine so. If you can't use a rifle to take a deer I doubt you can take a coyote with one.

Our regulations mention rifles as a viable choice but the remain somewhat vague and difficult to interpret. I'd like to hear from some of you big time Coyote hunters here in Ohio if you're out there reading this.

Not from Ohio but got me thinking just the same. I for one am tired of the elected officals puting some many restrictions of us hunters and or gun owners so we are constantly jumping in their hoops like a dog would. It's time for all of us to start electing the right people in office instead of not knowing what their records are before voting them in.

my cousin been hunting them in central ohio, i think any rifle goes when it comes to coyotes except in deer season
