would it be possible to start a stickied list in Retail deals and feedback of online auction sites for firearms? Classifieds? Retailers? I know this would take some work, but I think the community would benefit. People could post suggestions and then once added the post could be deleted.

I wouldn't have a problem with that. But if you include classifieds and all or most retailers, the list would be extremely long and unwieldy.

If you would like to take a crack at starting it off, we can take a look at it and see if it's "sticky-worthy". :)

uggh, i thought that was what I was going to get. Let me have some time to do it.

"uggh, i thought that was what I was going to get."

So, you want us to do it for you?

I think not.

You identified the issue, you get to propose the remedy. See what happens when you ask a question? You volunteer. :)

Ok, I am on it.

I started it. I do not have very many in my favorites. It is going to take an admin to clean this up after 24 hours.

That's a good start. I went ahead and made it a sticky. As you suggested, anyone can add to it by posting, and as the links are added to the original, the posts will be deleted.

The more I think about it the worse I think including retailers in the list is a bad idea.
It might get terribly unwieldy.

I'm not so sure. It will get big, no doubt, but I've already found it to be very useful.

Roll on!

This sounds like a good idea. I'm at work now, but when I get home I know I have several links I can contribute.

Uh ... WOW!

Thanks?

I'll put them in the sticky when I have a spare hour. ;)

Mike Irwin

Yeah, that has GOT to be stickied for posterity, and it needs to be at least marginally accessible so that new links can be added, and old stripped, as necessary.

Sure glad my edit ability expired or I would feel some sort of responsibility for adding all those. I looked at quite a few of those sites and they are great resources.

What do you think about adding manufacturers websites?

Mal H
January 27, 2009, 01:48 PM
No reason why not. If we are going have the list, might as well have it as complete as possible.

Holy crap, NJ putting that all up there whoever. I assume it was Mal. When I saw that list here i thought probably everyone would look at it and say 'screw the list idea.'

Thanks. If you or anyone sees redundancies or thinks an item belongs in a different group, etc., please post the details in the list thread.
