What method do you guys use to prevent warping of a forearm when the barrel is free floated? Thanks & God Bless.

Please take this as a serious response, and not a "quip" answer. In my opinion, you need to start out with a stock better than, for example, the flimsy synthetic stocks on Remmy ADLs.

I free-floated the laminated stock on my Remmy 700 VLS by using a Dremel with the flexible shaft attachment and the large sanding disc. Worked great. I bedded the action at the recoil lug and tang areas, using Marine Tex.

Creeker,
I always finished the inside of my stock fore-ends with Casey's TruOil after floating the barrel. We have lots of humidity in the air and I wanted to minimize the possibility of stock warping from moisture absortion thru the raw wood.
