I'm in the process of picking up my HK P2000 :D I need a IWB holster and was thinking of the MTAC but then I thought the Kydex/leather might wear the gun's finish faster than an all leather rig. The Southern also has a 12 week wait  Would love some feedback on which, if any of these 2 holsters will wear the finish faster...

Holster wear is a fact of life. Both leather and kydex, over time, will produce holster wear on any gun. Inserting and taking out the gun causes wear. One way to reduce wear is to make sure that the holster is kept clean. If leather, consult the manufacturer as to what is recommended. Kydex can be kept quite clean with soap and water. While this will reduce wear it can never be completely eliminated. I have both leather and kydex and leather holsters and cannot see that either is superior when it comes to producing wear.

Try Crossbreed holsters. Similar to MTAC but only a 4 week wait.
