Does anyone have any feedback on these scopes?. I have a Win mdl 100 .243 that was handed down to me from my grandmother, and I would like to set it up for my wife to use.

Thanks,
MM

Nikon's are great scopes. I recently bought a Nikon Monarch for my Ruger No.1. I had orginally set to buy a Zeiss or Leupold but was sold on the Nikon after comparing them side by side. For the money, the Nikon Monarch is a very good scope and I'm very happy with mine.

One of the best scopes made. I used to own one. Super duper bright and crystal clear.

I got a monarch 3x9 and it has a good clear picture. It was cheaper than a Leupold but same quality.

Had mine about 6 years now. Well built, good sight picture, I can recommend it.

I've got two Monarchs, a 3.5-10x50 sitting atop a 25-06, & a4-16x42 mildot on a 308. The first scope is 10 years old now and I never had any problems with it. Clarity and resolution seem to equal that of the Leupolds.

I've had many monarchs both in shotgun and rifle form. IMHO they are on par with leupold VX11 series, but in no way are they as good as the VX111 series. Early morning and late light is when the VX111 shines.:)

I have 3 Nikon Monarchs all in high power. they are clear, bright and have a larger eyebox than comparable Leupold, more similar to a Burris.
Also, they are less likely to need a trip back to the manufacturer for a rebirth.
I am sure the current Team Primos 3-9 is the best deal going at $199.
Unless you want a Bushnell Elite 4200 for $249.

For the record, the Monarch of this year is not the same as the Monarchs of years past. They did a significant redesign this year (and a price increase). I don't know if the new one is any better or worse than the previous one - I just know it is supposed to be different.

Thanks Guy's, I went ahead and ordered the Nikon Monarch in 2.5x10x42.
I took my wife over to Sportsman's Warehouse and had her look through a lot of different scopes. She really liked the 4" eye relief and the quality of the Nikon scope, not to mention the life time warranty. It should work well on her .243 Win.
