What can you tell me about this gun? Why does it have two triggers?

Union sold out to Ithaca in 1917. Sounds like a set trigger but never saw one on a pump. Pull the rear trigger and it'll set the front trigger to a lighter pull or you can shoot it with the front trigger it'll just have a harder pull.

The front "trigger" (which is curved in the opposite direction as the trigger) is actually a cocking and decocking piece.

Does anyone have any idea of the value of these? They is a significant amount of complex machining in the receiver parts.

I just looked at one on gunbroker. Didn't think to do that on the trigger question. The one on GB has some wood repairs with a buy it now price of 175.00. Based on that I'd say one with good wood and in decent shape would go for 200-250 depending on condition.
