These rifles have been out long enough for some of you guys to know a thing or two about them, such as, do they require a special tool to put the primer on, or how hard are they to clean, and how well do they shoot, is there really an advantage to them over traditional in-lines?
Thinking about buying one, so don't be nice. If they have a problem, I want to know it.
Thanks guys.

I'll bet that these forums have a lot of Savage muzzle loader shooters who will be able to give you their opinions too:
http://www.modernmuzzleloader.com/phpBB/ (Has a Savage dedicated forum section)
http://www.savageshooters.com/ (click on "forum" at the top of the page)
The Savage rifles seem to be a little heavy (8.75 lbs. with laminated stock), maybe that helps to absorb any extra recoil resulting from using the smokeless powder.

Hi,
Another great forum for the Savage Smokeless.

It is a great muzzleloader; no need to clean as BP.
Shoots like (100 yards) (scope not adjusted):
