What is the best [ brightest/ clearest] spotting scope with a budget ceiling of 500.00 ?
Primariy usage- benchrest only, optimum weather conditions, weight not an issue, need angled eyepiece.

Suggestions ?

Try www.optics4birding.com they have a big selection and some of the best pricing i've seen on the net. I will be ordering a scope made by Celestron from them the Ultima 80, it's 20-60X80 for$190.00. You can find Celestron @ www.celestron.com

As 50 shooter posted www.opticsplanet.com, the same scope from Celestron for $150.00

Look into Konus, I borrowed one last month. For $200 I don't think you can go wrong, very nice spotter.

The 16-48 x 60mm Nikon Spotter XL work very well. Rubber armor coated, light weight, waterproof and shock proof. You can get one for about $450 to $500.
