I'm wondering about the quality of the rifle cases sold by Hoppes, are they any good?

This is only my opinion from owning one and seeing several. They are cheap but serviceable. Good for carrying to and from the range but do not buy one if you need to lock up a gun or carry a gun on an airline.

I third that. On the other hand, mine cost $40, and if I had to do it again I'd go up $100 to a Starlight to never have to buy another case for that gun again.
In the fist class-case price range ($100-$200), I have had positive experience with Starlight cases, and Pelican has a good reputation.
Hoppes is fine for throwing in the truck and driving to the range. However, it's not waterproof and I wouldn't trust it in a medium rain or near mud.
