Want to take my 870P hunting for the first time this winter and wanted to know how to plug the mag. VA states a maximum of 3 shells and mine holds 7+1. I need to figure out a way to do this... any thoughts?

While I'm here.

I will be deer hunting for the first time and was planning on using my 870 with slugs (probably KO's since that's what I practice with). Any tips on range and group sizes I should be looking for?

Thanks and regards,

Coop

Hello Coop de Ville,

Either get the Remington plug http://www.remington.com/accessories/shotgun_accessories/shotgnacc.htm or make one from a wooden dowel.

I have an 870 deargun which I put an extention for 6+1. I just take it off and put the orignal equipment back in. ;)

I have a 8 shot tube, but use a wood doll cut to 2 shells and one
for chamber, I get checked by the DNR once a year, they TRY to
stuff more shells in, they hate the over folding stock too.:D
