I recently purchased a used 1100 and while I was taking out the trigger group for cleaning, the feed latch popped out. after a few minutes of trying, I was able to put on the trigger group and feed latch. My question is, is the feed latch supposed to be staked or punched into the receiver? I saw a couple of punch marks on the inside of the receiver. I have 30 days to get this fixed, so I just wanted to know if this is normal or not.
Thanks in advance,
George Stringer

Norielx, it should be staked in place. But for ease of cleaning I'd probably leave it as is unless it is causing a malfunction. George

Thanks, George.
Well, since I bought this gun from a shop, I have a 30 day warranty on the parts and the gun. I figure, might as well get it done instead of having to pay for it later. It isn't causing a malfunction, just a little time when it comes to putting the receiver back together.
